BioI am a graduate student at University of California at Berkeley’s School of Information. I am doing a research project on how people incorporate the web into their art and media-making activities.
A great deal of my research involves hanging out online, particularly on on deviantART (Me, on deviantART), though there seems to be a lot of overlap between deviantART and LiveJournal in terms of people, art work, and things people talk about. My hopes are to better understand some of the main issues that are involved when artists put their work online and get involved in different activities.
My first journal post provides more of a general introduction. And I have an FAQ that I hope helps. But you can learn more by checking out all of my journals.
